Our latest Melee took place at Oatlands on 1st December, the first melee there since our opening melee in May.
We had a good turnout on a freezing cold day, but at least we were able to use the clubhouse to warm up with food and a warm drink.
Tony and Mike were tied at the end, and Mike won the shootout.
There’s a change to the date and venue of the December Melee.
Friday 1st December 12 noon at Oatlands.

We held a Sunday lunchtime melee on 8th October at The Pierhead.
Plenty of good food and some enjoyable petanque.
Our champion was Alan who scored a perfect 4 wins out of 4. Congratulations!

On a nice warm evening, we enjoyed snacks and drinks while all playing 4 games, finishing at 9pm in the dark! Sandy was the clear winner, just 1 point off a perfect score.
Our last melee of the season will take place on
Tuesday 5th September at 6pm at the Pierhead.
All members are welcome.
There will be a buffet, and if you want to eat/drink please bring along something to share.
There will the usual bottle of Prosecco for the winner.

On Wednesday evening, June 7th, we had one of the closest melees ever with Brian, Mary and Keith all tied in top spot. A nearest the coche penalty shootout was required to find the eventually winner – KEITH. A beautiful evening with a fine spread of food was enjoyed by all.
